It's such a long time, since I had a little time, to sit and look at other artists work on my favorite Flickr...... the group blockprints has me in awe of the work that is produced out there, and my sentimental tooth, thought this was just so incredibly "tierno" the Spanish word for tender...... the movement made with the cutting tool is gorgeous, and the expression is wonderful.... makes me want to run to the studio!
Sometimes I see something that really makes me smile, and this did, would it not be lovely if all those annoying people were right there, in your tummy.... uuuuhuu... that actually makes me sound not quite right ;o)))
How about this for size plate.....??? Cristobal makes some seriously funny prints and have a great sense of humor, I think, maybe you will too?
Head over to his Flickr pages for a good Saturday morning laugh!
Vicky has a real fun sense of humour!! I just have to laugh every time I see this.... and anybody that can put a smile on peoples faces, get a STAR from me!
Long time since I blogged about a great Flickr find.... but this just made my breath catch, I love the idea behind the drawing, and it leads to so many more visuals in my head.... go to iota's page to see more great stuff!
... sometimes I see images I wish were mine! :o)))
Carol Nunan just signed up as a follower on my blog, and as most times, I try to go have a look and see who "my" followers are....... well, Carol is one part of Horsley Printmakers, and they give what looks like some really interesting workshops, have a look at their Flickr account with oodles of student work...... and good... even great , student work..(just look at those wonderful sheep!)... I always thought, that good student work, comes from a good teacher..... if you can show, really show, your students what you can do, then they can also produce work to the very best of their abilities, so in a way, my students work reflects on my skill as a teacher.
I love giving courses, it is such fun sharing, and seeing what people can find in themselves with the help of that knowledge..... well... if you are lucky enough to live in the area of Newcastle, then go have a look at their website and their course program..... they have a LOT of courses I'd love to do! Can I give better praise than that?!!
Is this not super, a great addition to my Flickr collection....
