can be very very long if you have kids at home on summer vacation and it start raining.... so head on over to Lizzyhouse blog and see her post about a fun game that the whole family can be involved in making..... the images can be easily made on your home printer, you could even use family photos! The game reminds me of a game we used to play in Sweden, Lojliga Familjen (or Ridiculous Families) in that game you did not make pairs but 4's, mum, dad, son and daughter. and they all had the same profession, ie, barbers, tailors etc, and you had to collect all 4 from each other, and the winner was the one with most complete families.. anyway... you could easily take Lizzies idea and make your own turn on it..... I just got all happy looking at the gorgeous photos of her very happy and colourful art! Have a great weekend! :o)

ReplyDeleteOh, we had that game that you describe. It was called "Happy Families" and you had to collect each family - "Mr & Mrs. Bun", the baker & his wife, with their children Miss Bun and Master Bun, Mr.Chip the carpenter, Mr Bones the butcher, Mr. Soot the sweep etc etc... It was fun and the illustrations on the cards were always very funny. There were various other "collect the set" type card games too. I might have some fun making my own - thanks for the link!
