Bird Buffet give away!!!

Long time no hear, all my blogger friends, and any other who just happens to come by!
Still in Spain working away in the studio, have made a whole GANG of new plates, right now
I have the plate for the Green door Print exchange in the acid.... boy am I having fun... so fun that the urge to give something away came over me!! So we had better take advantage, right, don't be shy about signing up for the draw.... anybody and everybody are welcome!! All you need to do is leave a comment, and you are in the draw.... So..... I am giving away one of a very small edition of a reduction lino called Bird Buffet.... biggest give away I have done so far, the print, paper included measures ...little pause here, running around trying to find the piece of paper with the measurement...... hmmm..and it just come to me... what happened to mine, that I took to have framed????? I picked up the rest but not that..... huh, well, I win a trip to Malaga then... lucky me..... where were we....?? measurements... lets see, I'll give you an approximate... 50 cm x 25 cm more or less, including paper..... it's a six colour reduction print and I only got quite few prints, under 10......so don't miss the chance.....
I know, the subject matter is a tad...well....cruel....but that's life isn't it.... I could never watch nature programs, you know the kind, cute baby zebra, grazing, suckling....so cuuuute and then WHAM ...eaten by a lion.... no thanks!! it happens but hey, does that mean I want to watch it??? So what happens here you ask.... for the insect being eaten, is it not as tragic..... hmm, this requires wine, tapas and nice place to sit, let's mull it over all of us and tell me what you think!!
Look forward to hearing from you!
Very very sunny greetings from Southern Spain!

  1. Those birds look very cheery - but why wouldn't they, with all those tasty morsels so handy?

  2. I think that the birds run the risk of becoming overweight, if they eat all those lucious insects you've provided - a real Birdy Banquet! So perhaps they may leave some to wriggle away and tell the tale of how they narrowly escaped being Birdy Breakfast!

I love the lino reduction technique. I'm just working with little round plates, that I cut and print with water-based inks. I'm having such a lovely time and now have a little boxful of hand-cut stamps, which I'm quite proud of.

I would love to win your giveaway - thank you for giving us the chance to own something so lovely!

  3. Lovely, I love the eager expressions on those birds' faces. (And it reminds me of this afternoon - my daughter and I spent some time lying face down looking at the beasties in the grass too....).

    Would love to win!

  8. Hello, This is a sweet print, looks a lot like the view out of my window. I have a million birds eating out there right now. If I was lucky enough to win this giveaway I would put your print somewhere near here so I could see it and the real birds at the same time. I wold swear I was already a follower but I just checked and I guess I'm not. At least I wasn't, I'll fix that now. Hope your doggies are doing okay without you.

  15. A bird buffet, I wonder what they would eat for hors d'oeuvres? Either way it looks like they are having fun! Thanks for alerting me to your blog post, love to see what you're up to and am happy to enter into this contest!

  16. I love birds, and the fact that they eat bugs, well, as you say (or was is John Prine?), that's the way the world goes 'round. It's a wonderful print and I have just the place for it!

  17. As they say 'the early bird gets the worm' or in this case, alot of creepy crawlies as well. This is lovely and my 2 girls LOVE bugs so would enjoy this. The youngest especially is always drawing pictures of caterpillars which makes a change from fairy's and pricesses. Already at 3 and 5 their drawings are better than mine. Love to win this in your competition.
