Printing is such fun!!!

It is always great fun to print new plates.... and I think this is the one I am the happiest with from my aquatint course at Maison Conti, with Nancy Wilson.
It prints so perfect, all the gradations of colour and shades that the aquatint gives..especially happy with the texture on the hills in the background.. I just loved the aquatint process.... am working hard in the studio, but most of it is painting, hopefully towards the end of next week there will be a bit more time for printmaking, can feel the need to do some linocuts becoming stronger....!!! Have a great weekend!!!

  2. That is a very lovely print! I love the idea of the birdcages, with open doors, as homes for the birds, hanging there under their favourite tree... The textures are gorgeous. You are so clever.. maybe one day I may be able to make some prints as good as this - thanks for the inspiration.
I'll be looking out for the linocuts - that is something I really could try at home, just now - I have all the stuff.. just need to get on with it!

  3. I am taking my first printmaking course and found your videos on you tube. They are great! Thank you so much. Right now we are working on lino cuts and I just finished cutting my first one.
