Our neighbour had a new kitchen extension built on her house; for a few weeks her "kitchen" was just a bit of floor in the corner, where the old kitchen used to be, with the cooker sitting in the middle of it, plus an old bit of work top. Everything else was boxed up and the water came from the bathroom! It drove her a bit mad, but she did cope..
